SimpleIdeas026(“we," "us," "our") operates the SipUp mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It reflects exactly what the App collects as of the date above — nothing more.

1.Information We Collect

Account Information

If you sign in with Google or email/password, we collect your name and email address. If you use Guest mode, no account information is collected, and nothing about you is synced to the cloud at all.

Hydration Profile

To calculate your personalized daily hydration goal and reminder schedule, we collect:

• Body weight, gender, and activity level
• Your preferred measurement unit (ml or lb)
• Wake time, bedtime, and your hydration cutoff time (the point in your day after which reminders stop)

This information is used solely to calculate hydration recommendations. It is not medical data, and SipUp does not provide medical advice — see our Terms of Service.

Hydration History

We store the amount and timestamp of every drink you log, so you can track your progress over time and view your history.

Reminder Preferences

We store your reminder settings: whether smart (adaptive) reminders or a custom fixed interval is active, whether sound and vibration are on, reminder volume, and default snooze duration.

Custom reminder sounds: if you choose a sound from your device (via the system sound picker), we store only a reference to that sound's location on your device — not a copy of the audio file. This reference never leaves your device, even for signed-in accounts, since it wouldn't be meaningful on a different device anyway.

Feedback

If you submit feedback through the app, we collect the text you write, your account email (if signed in), and your app version, to help us respond to and improve based on your feedback. Guests can also submit feedback — in that case, no email is attached to it.

Automatically Collected Information

SipUp uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Google Play Services. These may collect standard technical information (such as device type, OS version, and IP address) as part of providing those services reliably. SipUp does not currently include any separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK — we don't track app usage, screen views, or button taps beyond what's described in this policy.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Calculate your personalized daily hydration goal
• Schedule and deliver reminder notifications, including at your chosen sound and volume
• Sync your profile, settings, and hydration history across devices (signed-in accounts only)
• Respond to feedback and support requests

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not run any third-party analytics or ad SDKs in the App.

3.Where Your Data Is Stored

• Guest mode: all data — profile, settings, and history — stays on your device only, and is permanently deleted if you uninstall the app. Nothing is transmitted to our servers.
• Signed-in accounts: your profile, reminder settings, and hydration history are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), a cloud database service, so they're available across your devices. Firebase's own privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

4.Third-Party Services

SipUp uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — for signing in with Google or email/password
• Cloud Firestore (Google) — for cloud data sync
• Google Play Services — for app delivery, notifications, and system features like the sound picker

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, and — as noted above — we do not use any third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

5.Your Choices and Rights

• Delete your account: permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from My Profile → Delete Account within the app. This immediately deletes your Firebase account and wipes your stored data — profile, settings, and history alike.
• Guest mode: use the full app without creating an account or syncing any data to the cloud.
• Turn off reminders: disable Smart Reminders, Sound, or Vibration independently from Reminder Settings at any time.
• Access or export your data: contact us at simpleideas026@gmail.com to request a copy of your data.

If you are located in a jurisdiction with specific data protection rights (such as the EU's GDPR or India's DPDP Act), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your data — contact us at simpleideas026@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

6.Data Retention

We retain your account and hydration data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems except where retention is required by law.

7.Children's Privacy

SipUp is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at simpleideas026@gmail.comand we will delete it.

8.Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including Firebase's authentication and data storage infrastructure, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as the App gains new features. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
